Statham ‘Blues are a match for any side in the Division’ Match preview by Paul Jennings.
As the rest of the Ryman League recovers from the shock of Billericay’s 4-1 victory at runaway league leaders Dartford, Blues boss Brian Statham revelled in Saturday’s performance ahead of Hendon’s visit to New Lodge on Tuesday evening.
‘It was an excellent performance and a justified result.’ said Statham. ‘I would like to think that we have found our scoring touch and go on creating and taking our chances.’ |

Some of you may recall that back in August the BBC were at New Lodge on a Tuesday night (our home league game against Waltham Abbey) filming for an upcoming reality series. Well that programme is now airing. Episode 1 of 'Undercover Princesses' went out on BBC Three on Sunday night, and the remaining 3 episodes will follow over the next three Sundays (at 21:00). It's not clear which episode the Club will feature in, but I'm sure we'll all be watching to see what the Princesses made of the non-league scene! If you missed episode 1, you can see it on the BBC iPlayer here. |

Billericay Town striker James Baker has been released from the Club. Manager Brian Statham said "After some consideration I have released James Baker from the club. I spoke with James at length last Friday and explained that I had arranged for him to go out on loan to get first team football as he would find it difficult to start games with the two recent signings and Billy Bricknell recovering from his injury. James felt that that option wouldn't be in his best interests at this stage as he has a slight knee injury which he wants to see a specialist about before committing to anything. I would like to place on record my thanks to James for his time at Billericay Town football club and wish him all the very best for the future." |

Andy Walker has returned to Maidstone United on a month's loan. Brian Statham said: "Andy remains part of my plans, but he wasn't happy not playing whilst Paul Nicholls is currently starting. He understandably wants to be playing first team football. I'd like to wish him all the best." |
