Billericay Town Ladies 5-0 Leighton Linslade Ladies Sunday 1st November ERWFL Division 1 South High Fives for Ladies Blues against Leighton Linslade
Another 3 important points secured.
Due to the extreme weather conditions Billericay Blues entertained Leighton Lindslade on the bottom pitch, albeit the rain had stopped the wind still made an impact to the play from both teams.
Billericay made an immediate impact on the game with Sam Edwards scoring within 2 minutes, quick direct play caught Leighton off guard, this spurred Billericay forward but they were unable to convert the chances created, too many players crowding the 18 yard area trying to get on the score sheet, for the remainder of the first half Billericay had Leighton pinned in and it took a further 43 minutes before the Blues were rewarded anything for their hard work, Lisa Silverton received the ball out wide outpaced 2 defenders to calmly the slot the ball home. |

Billericay through to next round of League Cup after Beating Yaxley 2-3 on 4th October 2009 Match report by Kim Coster.
For the second week running Billericay Town Ladies had the more positive start of the two teams and their pace had Yaxley on the back foot from the kick off. On the 11th minute Billericay won a corner. Sam Edwards strength saw her out jump two defenders but her header was cleared off the line. Billericay won the ball back quickly and forced another corner. Sam Edwards header was cleared off the line again but Vanessa Wilson won the clearance and volleyed the ball into the back of the net. This spurred Billericay forward and Lisa Silverton was unlucky not to treble the score but her persistence finally paid off in the 26th minute when Sam Edwards collected the ball from a goal kick and sweetly passed the ball to the advancing Silverton. Silverton cut inside her defender and slotted the ball past the keeper. Credit to Yaxley they didn’t give up and continued to try and force Billericay back into their own half. The Yaxley keeper ensured the score remained 0-2 up at half time.
